WESMARK
SMALL COMPANY GROWTH FUND
The Fund pursues its investment objective by investing
at least 80% of the value of its net assets plus the
amount of any borrowings for investment purposes in
investments in small capitalization companies. In
creating a diversified portfolio of common stocks
of small-sized companies the Adviser will define small
companies as companies with market capitalizations
similar to companies in the Russell 2000 Index (Russell
2000), or the Standard & Poor’s Small Cap
600 Index (S&P 600). The Adviser will select stocks
of companies with growth characteristics, such as
above-average earnings growth potential or where significant
changes are taking place, such as new products, services,
or methods of distributions, or overall business restructuring.
The Fund may purchase exchange traded funds (ETFs)
in order to achieve exposure to a specific market
sector, or other reasons consistent with its investment
strategy.The shares of ETFs are listed and traded
on stock exchanges at market prices.
